NEW ELDER CANDIDATES: The Elders would like to present the names of two new Elder candidates - Mark Cianciosa and Marty Chilton. These two candidates have been nominated to replace two existing Elders, whose terms have recently expired. After prayer and interviewing Mark and Marty, the Elders feel they are God’s best and qualified to fill the positions. As stated in our By-Laws, Mark and Marty’s names will remain before the church for 30 days for anyone to ask questions or express concerns about their qualifications. For questions about qualifications, Elder selection, or to express concerns about either of these candidates, please contact Elder Chair, Brian Savoy, .

SUMMIT SCAVENGER HUNT: Summit High School Students, meet at the Five Stones Church Office in Downtown Waxhaw (216-B West North Main Street) at 6PM THIS Sunday for a Scavenger Hunt. If you have cell phones, bring them. Please bring money for ice cream at the Waxhaw Creamery.

FIVE STONES WORSHIP PASTOR: John Moore, our new Worship Pastor, will be in the office beginningAugust 4th and will be on the platform leading Worship on August 10th. Pray for John and his family as they prepare to move from Nevada to North Carolina in a couple of weeks. Also, please pray for Summit Church in Nevada as they walk through their transition with John’s replacement.

ENGAGE CULTURE:  Operation School Supplies… It’s that time of year again! Help us impact our community by providing school supplies for families in need right here in Waxhaw as we continue our partnership with Waxhaw and Western Union Elementary Schools.  Stop by the Engage Culture kiosk this Sunday to pick up a school supply list or to get more information.  All items need to be turned in by August 10th.

IS IT STILL HOT IN HERE?: We sincerely apologize for the warm temperatures in our worship environment this summer. We continue to aggressively work with the school to resolve this issue. We hope to see or we guess… feel… a difference this Sunday! Thanks for your understanding and accepting our apology.

IN LIMBO?: Are you feeling like for some reason you are just not connecting with others at Five Stones? Pastor Ralph would love the chance to help get you connected. We know Five Stones cannot feel like “home” if you do not get connected. Please reach out to him and let’s get it figured out!
